Heavenly Village Summer Concerts

Free live music every Friday and Saturday all summer, on an outdoor stage in the middle of Heavenly Village — 15 minutes from the cabin.

The Heavenly Village Summer Concert Series is Lake Tahoe’s biggest free summer concert run: live bands every Friday and Saturday evening, Memorial Day weekend through mid-September, typically 5:45 to 9:15 p.m. All genres — rock, country, funk, tribute acts — with regional and national touring bands mixed with Tahoe local favorites. The stage sits between the Fire and Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern restaurants at 1001 Heavenly Village Way, right by the gondola.

What a concert night looks like

Show up around 5, grab dinner on a patio (the village restaurants all lean into concert nights), then claim your spot as the sun drops behind the mountain. It’s family-friendly — kids dance up front, dogs on leash are a common sight, and the whole thing wraps by 9:15 so you’re home at a reasonable hour. Holiday weekends add Sunday shows, and the week of the 4th of July usually gets bonus nights.

Tips from the cabin

Parking is $5 in the village garage after 5 p.m. (holidays excepted) — cheap and easy. Bring a light jacket; mountain evenings cool off fast once the sun’s gone. Eat before the headliner or during the opener to dodge lines. And check the schedule online before you go — the lineup rotates weekly, and the tribute-band nights draw the biggest crowds.

The village around the music

Heavenly Village is worth an evening on its own. The gondola runs scenic rides in summer, the shops stay open late on concert nights, and the restaurant row — from pizza and tacos to upscale mountain fare — is built for pre-show dinners. Between sets, stroll the plaza: street performers, the fire pits, and the mountain looming over the rooftops make it feel like a festival every weekend. In winter, this same plaza is the après-ski hub, so summer visitors get the local secret — the village without the lift-line crowds.
